The iconic Baahubali series, directed by SS Rajamouli and starring Prabhas, is set to return to theaters as Baahubali: The Epic on October 31, 2025. The two-part epic, known for redefining Indian cinema, will be screened in major formats across the country.
In recent days, speculation has been rife that the re-release may conclude with news of a third installment. These rumors, however, have been dispelled by producer Shobu Yarlagadda. “There won’t be a Baahubali 3 announcement,” Yarlagadda stated in a recent interview. “There may be a surprise, but it is unrelated to Baahubali 3. A lot of work remains before any third part can happen.”
Yarlagadda elaborated on the future of the franchise, emphasizing the vast storytelling potential within the Baahubali universe. “The re-release marks the start of Phase 2 of Baahubali. We believe there are numerous stories waiting to be explored from this world,” he said.
